Pancake Pie “Snail” with Chicken, Mushrooms and Cheese

Pancake Pie “Snail” with chicken, mushrooms, and cheese can be prepared as an alternative to the usual pancakes with meat. The pancake pie looks original in the cut, it turns out to be very tasty thanks to the gentle filling.

Ingredients

  • Thin pancakes (with milk) – 10 pcs.
  • Chicken fillet – 300 g
  • Champignons – 150 g
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Hard cheese (Dutch) – 130 g
  • Sour cream – 200 g
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Vegetable oil – for frying and greasing parchment
  • Green onions – for decoration

Directions

  1. Prepare the ingredients for making the chicken, mushroom, and cheese pancake pie. The pancakes should be thin and elastic. I made pancakes with milk (the recipe can be found at the link in the list of ingredients).
  2. Wash the chicken fillet, dry with a paper towel. Chop the fillet into small pieces with a sharp knife. Peel the onion and chop finely.
  3. In a frying pan in vegetable oil, fry the onion until golden brown, season with salt and pepper. Add the chicken fillet to the onion and fry until white.
  4. Finely chop the champignons, add to the pan with chicken and onions. Fry the mushrooms until the liquid evaporates.
  5. Add 50 g of sour cream there, mix. Cover and simmer chicken with mushrooms over low heat for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Grate the cheese on a fine grater, set aside some of the cheese (30 g) to sprinkle on the cake before baking. Spread the pancake on a cutting board. Stepping back from the edge, but the meat filling on the pancake, and sprinkle with grated cheese on top.
  7. Roll up a pancake with chicken, mushrooms, and cheese roll.
  8. In this way, stuff all the pancakes.
  9. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Cover the baking dish with parchment and brush with a little vegetable oil. Put pancake rolls in a prepared form in a spiral, starting from the center.
  10. Prepare the fill. To do this, beat the eggs with the remaining sour cream.
  11. Pour the pancakes with chicken and mushrooms with the filling, sprinkle with the grated cheese set aside earlier.
  12. Bake pancake pie with chicken, mushrooms, and cheese in the oven at 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes, until a pleasant golden color. Cool the finished pancake pie in a pan.
  13. Then gently remove the pancake pie from the pan and sprinkle with finely chopped green onions.
  14. Cut the chicken and mushroom pie into portions and serve. The most delicious warm pancake pie.
