  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon oil, e.g. rapeseed oil

Instructions

  1. Peel the pear, separate from the core and cut into small pieces.
  2. Put about 3 tablespoons of water in a small saucepan, you really don`t need more because the pear has a lot of its own juice. Put the chopped pear in the water, bring to the boil briefly, simmer for about 5 minutes. Depending on how ripe the pear was. The best thing to do is to leave it behind for a while after buying it before you make the porridge. Puree the pear and / or mash it with the potato masher, depending on how chunky it can be.
  3. Since, in my experience, pears cannot be mashed that well, you should only offer your baby this porridge when it is already busy chewing.
  4. Add the oil to the porridge and serve fresh. If you want to freeze several servings, add the oil just before serving.
  5. Suitable types of pear for babies are: Williams Christ, Alexander Lucas, Gute Luise and possibly also butter pear. Of course, you are also free to test any other pear variety.
