Ingredients

  • 300 g puff pastry (frozen)
  • 25 g butter or mararine
  • 2 small onions
  • 250 g minced meat
  • 1 leek stick (s)
  • 300 g white cabbae
  • 150 g mushrooms
  • 2 egg yolks
  • Salt and pepper, white, ground
  • some soy sauce
  • 200 g cheese (Gouda), rated
  • 1 egg (s), separated for brushing

Instructions

  1. Thaw the puff pastry according to the instructions. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Sweat in the hot butter or margarine until light yellow. Add the minced meat and simmer while stirring.
  2. Clean and wash the leek and cabbage and cut into fine strips. Clean the mushrooms and cut them into leaves. Add everything to the minced meat and do not cook completely by turning frequently. Let the filling cool down. Then stir the egg yolks into the mixture and season everything with salt, pepper and the soy sauce.
  3. Cut the cheese into thin strips. Preheat the oven to 210 ° C (gas: setting 3 - 3 1/2).
  4. Roll out the puff pastry as thick as the back of a knife, distribute the mixture evenly on top, leaving an approx. 2 cm wide margin free at the edges. Sprinkle the cheese on the minced meat mixture.
  5. Beat the edges of the pastry on the filling and brush with the whisked egg white. Roll up into a roll from the long side. Place these on a baking sheet rinsed with cold water and brush with the whisked egg yolk. Bake the puff pastry roll in a hot oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Serve hot.
