  • 1 pack puff pastry (refrigerated shelf)
  • 150 g cheese (Emmentaler), rated
  • 100 g pesto verde
  • 50 g cheese (pecorino), rated

Instructions

  1. Roll out the defrosted puff pastry on the work surface (you can certainly prepare the dough yourself, of course it is faster with a ready-made dough from the supermarket, which is usually delivered with baking paper). Brush the dough with the pesto. Sprinkle most of the grated Emmentaler and the pecorino on top. Now roll up the dough into a roll and cut about 1 cm thick slices. Place these slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Then distribute the rest of the grated Emmentaler on top.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven at 200 ° C for about 20 minutes (until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese has run).
  3. I like to serve the rolls with a glass of sparkling wine as an aperitif or snack while the guests wait for the actual meal. They can be served cold or warm from the oven.
