Ingredients

  • 450 g spelled flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon honey, liquid
  • 50 g butter, soft
  • 1 pack dry yeast
  • 280 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 1 tablespoon milk for brushing
  • Oil for the bowl

Instructions

  1. Sieve the flour, add salt and honey and work into crumbs with the soft butter. Mix the yeast with the lukewarm milk, add to the flour mixture and work everything into an elastic dough. Let knead for about 8-10 minutes. Let the dough rise in a lightly oiled and covered bowl in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  2. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
  3. Knead the dough again and form about 11 rolls from it. Place this with a gap on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and cut into the top with a sharp knife.
  4. Then cover and let rise again in a warm place for another 20 minutes.
  5. Now brush the rolls with milk and bake on the middle rack for about 20-25 minutes until golden. Take out and let cool down a bit.
