- 250 g sloes
- 200 g honey
- 700 ml rum, whiter
- 1 vanilla pod (s)
- 2 pinch (s) orange peel
- 1 small cinnamon stick (s)
- 1 star anise (optional)

- Wash the sloes and let them drain well.
- Score the fruit with a sharp knife and put it in the freezer overnight.
- Place the fruit in a wide-necked bottle. Add honey, rum, scratched vanilla pod, orange peel, cinnamon stick and - if desired - star anise. Let the liquor steep for 2 months.
- After this time, filter the fruit as desired and use it as an addition to desserts, cheese and wild ham.
