Sponge Roll with Sour Cream and Jam

A quick and easy recipe for a soft biscuit roll, the dough for which is kneaded with the addition of sour cream. You can use jam or thick jam as a filling. An excellent baking option for tea.

Ingredients

  • Eggs – 4 pcs.
  • Flour – 320 g
  • Sugar – 300 g
  • Sour cream – 200 g
  • Baking powder – 10 g
  • Soda – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Jam or jam thick – 350 g
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for decoration) – to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare ingredients.
    You can take any jam, I have a plum one.
    Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper.
    Turn on the oven to heat up to 200 degrees.
  2. Break eggs into a deep bowl, add sugar.
  3. Beat eggs with sugar for 3-5 minutes, until a fluffy light mass is formed.
    Add sour cream and soda. Beat for another 30 seconds.
  4. In parts, in 3-4 steps, add flour sifted with baking powder, whisking with a mixer.
  5. Beat quickly until smooth.
  6. Pour the dough onto a baking sheet. Bake the sponge cake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes.
  7. Remove the finished cake from the oven, immediately trim the edges with a knife.
  8. Place a sheet of parchment paper on top of the hot cake. Turn over and remove the parchment on which the cake was baked.
  9. Grease the biscuit cake well with jam.
  10. And roll up with parchment. Leave on for 10 minutes.
  11. If desired, the roll can be sprinkled with powdered sugar.
  12. Cut the roll with jam into portions and serve with tea.
