Ingredients

  • 100 g bacon, smoked, fat, finely chopped
  • 1 onion (s), cut into thin wedges
  • 350 g minced meat, mixed
  • 0.5 ½ head white cabbage, finely sliced, goes well with the slicer
  • 1 tablespoon caraway seeds
  • 1 bay leaf, fresh if possible
  • 250 ml meat broth or bone broth
  • 500 g pasta, your choice

Instructions

  1. Slowly fry the onions in a saucepan in the boiled bacon until translucent, then fry the minced meat in them. Sear the cabbage vigorously, it can get a little darker. Add caraway seeds and bay leaf. Pour in the broth and simmer on a low heat.
  2. After about half an hour, season to taste with salt and pepper and continue cooking for a short time. In the meantime, cook the noodles al dente, drain and mix with the cabbage.
  3. Instead of noodles, spaetzle also taste good.
