Ingredients

  • 2 cans white beans, 800 g each
  • 250 g pork belly, smoked
  • 2 Landjäger or Cabanossi
  • 4 large spring onions or 1 leek
  • 750 ml meat stock
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoon ketchup (hot ketchup / chili ketchup)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 dash Tabasco
  • herbs Provence
  • marjoram
  • Garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch, mixed

Instructions

  1. A classic modified for the CP - quick, easy and deliciously delicious.
  2. Drain and rinse the beans. Cut the leek into rings. Cut the bacon into strips. If there is a rind, cut it whole, but it can be cooked for flavor. Halve Landjäger or Cabanossi lengthways and cut into cubes.
  3. Put everything in the CP and fill up with broth. Add tomato paste, ketchup and spices and stir well. Let it stew on high for about 2 hours. At the end, thicken with mixed flour or cornstarch to taste and stew for about 10 minutes, stir several times.
  4. Serve with pastries or dumplings.
  5. I use a 6.5L Andrew James Crock Pot.
