Ingredients

  • 500 ml water, lukewarm
  • 1 cube yeast
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 500 g wholemeal spelled flour or spelled flour
  • 250 g nuts, if you like, also mixed

Instructions

  1. Mix the water with the yeast, salt and apple cider vinegar with a whisk. Stir in the spelled flour and then fold in the nuts.
  2. Line a loaf pan with a backpacker and pour in the batter. Place the filled tin on the wire rack in the middle of the cold oven. Now switch on the oven to 200 degrees top and bottom heat and bake for an hour.
  3. Take the bread out of the mold immediately after baking and let it cool down on a rack so that it stays nice and crispy.
