Ingredients

  • 6 egg whites
  • 150 g almond (s)
  • 150 g cheese, (Gruyère)
  • 50 g parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ paprika powder, hot
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Grind the almonds, grate the cheese, mix together with the pepper and paprika powder.
  2. Beat the egg white with 2 pinches of salt until firm, stir a third into the almond and cheese mixture, then carefully fold in the rest.
  3. Shape dumplings with two teaspoons and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake at 175 ° C (fan oven) for 13-15 minutes until golden brown.
  4. The mixture can also be used as a soup (e.g. for clear vegetable soups): Prepare dumplings as above and add to boiling salted water or broth. Let it simmer gently for 7 - 8 minutes.
