Almond Pound Cake

A crumbly and soaked pound cake with an almond flavor.

Ingredients

  • Butter – 220 g
  • Сream cheese – 250 g
  • Sugar – 300 g
  • Eggs – 4 pcs.
  • Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon.
  • Almond extract – 0.5 teaspoon.
  • Flour – 225 g
  • Almond flour – 100 g
  • Leavening agent – 5 teaspoon.
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon.

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven up to 160 degrees. Grease a baking dish slightly with some butter.
  2. Whisk the softened butter and cream cheese with a mixer.
  3. Add the sugar and whisk until creamy.
  4. Add the eggs one by one and whisk well each time.
  5. Then add the vanilla and almond extract.
  6. Mix both flours, leavening agent, and salt in a separate bowl. Continuing to whisk, put the resulting mixture slowly into the wet ingredients.
  7. Place the batter in a baking dish. Bake it for about 35 minutes checking readiness with a toothpick. Cool it down for 20 minutes in the mold. Then take it out of the mold and cool it down completely on a rack.
