Ingredients

  • 750 g apples, boskop
  • 120 g suar
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoon sugar, brown
  • 140 g raisins
  • 100 g nuts, whole (walnuts, hazelnuts)
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 packet baking powder

Instructions

  1. Grate apples, mix with sugar and lemon juice and let rest for about 4 hours.
  2. Mix the apple mixture with the brown sugar, raisins, nuts and cinnamon. Mix the flour and baking powder, sieve over it and stir to a smooth batter.
  3. Line the loaf pan (length approx. 26cm) with baking foil, fill in the dough and bake in the preheated oven at 175 ° C (gas: level 2) on the middle rack for approx. 70 minutes.
