Peel the apples, cut into small pieces, moisten with lemon juice and place as large as possible (on a plate or board, etc.) in the freezer compartment / chest. Boil sugar, water, a little lemon juice and cider until the sugar is clearly dissolved. Chill the sugar syrup. When the apple slices are frozen, place them in a bowl, add the sugar syrup and calvados (possibly also cinnamon) and chop up with the magic wand. (Not creamy! Small apple pieces are welcome). Put the mixture in the freezer again (approx. 30 min) and then portion and serve.
Wonderfully refreshing and without cinnamon the ideal companion for an intermediate course.
