Baked Potatoes with Onions and Cheese

Thin potato slices baked with onions and mozzarella cheese are a great idea for a delicious and hearty lunch or dinner!

Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 530 g
  • Onions – 150 g
  • Mozzarella cheese – 120 g
  • Butter – 50 g
  • Provencal herbs – 0.25 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper – on the tip of a knife
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Prepare the food you need.
  2. Cut the mozzarella into slices as thin as possible. The thickness of the slices will depend on the softness of the cheese. Peel the onions and cut them into slices.
  3. Peel and cut potatoes into thin slices.
  4. Grease a baking dish with 1 teaspoon of butter. Place in a baking dish, alternating evenly with potato, onion, and mozzarella slices.
  5. Sprinkle the potatoes with onions and raw salt, black pepper and Provencal herbs. Melt the remaining butter and pour over the vegetables and cheese.
  6. Cover the tin with foil and place in the oven. Bake potatoes with onions and cheese for 60 minutes at 180 degrees.
  7. Then remove the foil and brown the potatoes with onions and mozzarella for 5-6 minutes under the grill.
  8. Serve hot baked potatoes with onions and mozzarella.
