Ingredients

  • 500 g steak (s) (hip steak)
  • 3 bell peppers, one each red, yellow, green
  • 5 tablespoon sauce (Mexican salsa), hot
  • 1 teaspoon Tabasco
  • 3 tablespoon oil
  • 2 teaspoons Worcester sauce
  • 1 onion (s), diced
  • some lemon juice
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the meat into thin slices.
  2. Mix the oil with Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce, then mix with the meat strips. Let the meat steep.
  3. Wash the peppers, cut lengthways into 6 pieces and remove the seeds. Also remove the white separating membranes, then cut the pulp crosswise into narrow strips.
  4. Heat a large pan without fat, add the meat including the marinade, fry together with the onion cubes for 5 minutes. Add the pepper strips and fry for another 2 - 3 minutes. Mix the salsa with 2 tablespoons of water, mix in and let it get hot.
  5. Season to taste with salt and lemon juice and serve, ideally with nachos.
