Ingredients

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 sprigs mint, fresh
  • 600 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • Clove
  • cinnamon
  • cumin
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Put the breadcrumbs in a bowl and beat the eggs over it, stir everything thoroughly. Peel the onion and garlic and chop finely. Rinse the mint, shake dry and cut into fine strips. Knead with the minced meat, spices, onion and garlic to a smooth dough. Season with salt and pepper vigorously.
  2. Divide the minced dough into 8 equal portions and shape into flat cakes. Cut the feta cheese into 8 oblong sticks. Place each in the middle of a meatloaf. Close the meat around it and shape it into long rolls with moistened hands.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a pan, fry the rolls in it, turning them all over, until they are brown. If desired, serve with tzatziki, crispy fries and a mixed salad.
