  • 1 kg flour
  • 1 cube yeast, fresh
  • 550 ml milk, warm
  • 100 g butter, soft
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • cheese, sliced

Instructions

  1. Put salt, sugar, warm milk and the yeast in a bowl and stir well until the yeast is dissolved. Now add the flour and the butter. Knead everything properly (approx. 5 minutes by hand). Let rise in a warm place for 2 hours. Now knead again properly and shape into approx. 12 rolls. Cover these again on two baking sheets lined with baking paper and let rise for 20 minutes. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 200 °. Before the rolls come in the oven for 20-25 minutes, score once lengthways, spray or brush with water and top with cheese (I took packaged Gouda cheese and divided the slices). Now put in the preheated oven. Keep an eye on it until the cheese begins to turn golden brown.
