  • 375 grams flour
  • 1 pack dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 200 ml water, warm
  • 150 g cheese in one piece
  • 5 slices cooked ham
  • some herb butter
  • 100 g cheese, rated

Instructions

  1. Work the flour, sugar, yeast, salt and water into a dough and let it rest until it has risen. Then divide the dough into 10 equal pieces. Shape the dough pieces into elongated sticks and press them flat.
  2. Cut the cheese into 10 sticks. Then cut the ham in half and coat each piece with the herb butter. Roll a cheese stick into half a slice of ham and place it on the piece of dough. Fold the ends of the dough over the filling, then close the sides and roll them back into sticks.
  3. Place all the sticks on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Make three diagonal cuts in each rod. Spread the grated cheese on the sticks and bake at 180 - 200 ° C for about 20 - 25 minutes.
  4. If you want, you can mix dried tomatoes or other things into the dough, even with the filling there is no limit to the imagination. The filled rolls taste best warm, but they are also a pleasure cold and are popular everywhere.
