Ingredients

  • 1 ½ kg chicken
  • 3 onion (s), mashed
  • 100 ml milk or yogurt
  • 50 ml oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 3 medium onion (s), red
  • 3 large tomato (s) or several cherry tomatoes
  • 6 bell peppers, green, the slim Turkish ones

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken into 3 cm cubes, mix with the onion puree (or just its juice), milk, oil and the spices and marinate in a covered bowl in the refrigerator for a day (12 - 24 hours).
  2. Cut the tomatoes, onions and peppers into 6 pieces each and stick them alternately with the marinated meat on skewers. Grill the skewers until an appetizing color develops. Rice or French fries and salad go well with this.
  3. Tip: If you like it more oriental, you can add garlic and / or cumin to the marinade. For the brave: use hot peppers for the skewers.
