Ingredients

  • 250 g chicken or turkey, shredded
  • peanut oil
  • 250 g sauerkraut, e.., 3 minutes Mildessa
  • 1 medium onion (s)
  • 200 ml chicken broth
  • a lot paprika powder
  • salt and pepper
  • Caraway seed
  • some sour cream or crème fraîche

Instructions

  1. Heat peanut oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the shredded chicken strips for 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
  2. Add the finely chopped onion and fry for 2 minutes.
  3. Deglaze with the chicken broth.
  4. Add the sauerkraut and season generously with paprika powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil and simmer for 4-5 minutes to reduce the broth.
  6. Sprinkle with caraway seeds and top with a dollop of sour cream or crème fraîche.
  7. Serve with white bread or salad.
