Ingredients

  • 4 thick chops (200 - 250 g each)
  • 100 g tomato ketchup
  • 5 tablespoon mustard, medium hot
  • 6 medium onion (s)
  • 250 g mushrooms
  • 125 g bacon, mixed
  • 200 g cream or condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Mix the ketchup and mustard together. Season the chops with salt and pepper and brush one side with half of the mustard mixture. Cut the onions and mushrooms into slices, dice the bacon. Leave out the bacon a little and add the vegetables briefly. Season well with salt and pepper.
  2. Place half of the bacon and vegetable mixture in a baking dish or roaster. Place the chops on the mixture with the coated side down and season the other side as well and brush with the second half of the mustard mixture. Now distribute the remaining bacon and vegetable mixture on the cutlets and pour the cream over them.
  3. Covered (aluminum foil or lid), depending on the thickness of the meat, bake for 1.5 - 2 hours at 150 ° C and remove the lid or aluminum foil about 30 minutes before the end of the baking time. Green salad and rolls or baguettes go well with this.
