Ingredients

  • 200 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 130 g butter, melted
  • 50 g powdered suar

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl and mix.
  2. In another bowl, mix the melted butter with the powdered sugar using a wooden spoon.
  3. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and work by hand into a shortcrust pastry.
  4. Shape the dough into a round, flat disk, wrap in cling film, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. On a lightly floured work surface, roll out the dough to 5 mm thickness.
  7. Using an 8 cm round cookie cutter, cut circles from the dough.
  8. Place the circles on the baking sheet using a spatula, continuing until all dough is used.
  9. Bake for 10 minutes until the cookies turn golden but not dark.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes.
  11. Transfer to a wire rack using a spatula and let cool completely.
