Dachny Bread with Dill and Garlic

You will love this dill and garlic bread recipe – simple and delicious! And you can make such bread in any form, even in a frying pan! Everyone is surprised how well he does it! “Country” bread is always successful, fragrant, and even flaky!

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour of the highest grade – 300 g
  • Rye flour – 100 g
  • Water (boiling water) – 70 ml
  • Kefir – 1 glass (200 ml)
  • Dry yeast – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Dill greens – 0.5 bunch
  • Garlic – 2-3 cloves
  • Vegetable oil – 4-5 tbsp

Directions

  1. First of all, we brew rye flour with boiling water: pour the flour with hot water and mix. Let cool slightly.
  2. Then we transfer the brewed flour into a cup. Add wheat flour, slightly warm kefir, and yeast. Stir and let stand for the yeast to start working.
  3. Add 0.5 teaspoon of salt and 2 tablespoon. tablespoons of vegetable oil. Knead the dough and knead for about 7 minutes. The dough is of medium density, pleasant to work with.
  4. Put the dough in a cup and cover it with a lid. An hour in a warm place and the dough will work well (rise). This dough smells great. Divide the finished dough into three equal parts. Finely chop the dill.
  5. Peel the garlic, pass it through a press and add to the dill. We also add a pinch of salt and 1-2 tablespoon. tablespoons of vegetable oil. Roll the dough blank into a cake, apply 1/3 of the garlic filling and distribute with a silicone brush or spoon.
  6. Roll the dough with herbs and garlic into a roll. This is how we deal with the remaining dough balls. We weave a tight pigtail from three blanks-rolls, we blind the edges well.
  7. Grease the baking dish (I use a small frying pan with two handles today) with the remaining vegetable oil. We turn the ends and send the bread to the prepared form.
  8. We give the bread in the form to distance 30 minutes, it can be under a damp towel in the sun, or in the oven with a cup of hot water, at the temperature of the light bulb on (37 degrees).
    Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  9. We bake bread with garlic and dill in the oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. Let the bread cool down, so it will be healthier. Better to break this bread when serving! Have a good rest in the country and big harvests!
