Ingredients

  • 50 g wholemeal spelled flour or almond flour
  • 150 g low-fat quark
  • 0.5 ½ pack baking powder
  • 1 pinch dry yeast
  • 1 handful flax or chia seeds
  • salt
  • possibly milk
  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions

  1. Mix all of the specified ingredients except for the egg yolk. If the batter is too sticky, add a dash of milk. Then form small rolls with a tablespoon and place on a baking sheet - this is really easier than expected.
  2. Brush the rolls with the egg yolk. If you want, you can sprinkle a few more seeds or grains on it. Bake in the oven at 180 ° C (top / bottom heat) for 20-25 minutes.
  3. I baked them at 180 ° C (fan oven) for 20 minutes, then they were still a bit sticky inside, but that`s a matter of taste.
  4. They taste good both with a hearty topping, but also with jam etc.
