Fried Fish and Avocado Appetizer

Fried fish with avocado served on corn tortillas.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Corn tortilla with a diameter of 15 cm – 8 pcs.
  • Tilapia, fillet – 4 pcs. (170 g each)
  • Jalapeno pepper (seeded and finely chopped) – 1 pc.
  • Avocado (cut into slices) – 1/2 pc.
  • Sour cream – 1/4 cup
  • Fresh cilantro (chopped) – 2 tbsp
  • Fresh lime juice – 2 tbsp
  • Onions (cut into strips) – 1 glass
  • Paprika – 1.5 teaspoon.
  • Brown sugar – 1.5 teaspoon.
  • Dried oregano – 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic granules – 3/4 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Ground cumin – 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Ground red pepper – 1/4 teaspoon.
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp
  • Lime wedges – 4 pcs.

How to make an avocado fish appetizer:

Directions

  1. Place sour cream, cilantro, lime juice, and jalapeno peppers in a bowl of a kitchen processor, pulsate until a homogeneous pasty mass. Transfer this sauce to a small bowl, add onions, mix well.
  2. In another small bowl, combine paprika, sugar, oregano, garlic, salt, cumin, and red pepper. Sprinkle this mixture on all sides of the fish.
  3. Heat the oil in a large skillet, add the fish and fry for about 3 minutes on each side.
  4. Heat the tortillas in a roaster or oven, according to the instructions on the package. Place the fish with avocado and onion sauce on the hot tortillas, serve the avocado fish appetizer with lime wedges.
