Fried Zucchini in Cheese and Yoghurt Batter

Fried zucchini in cheese and yoghurt batter is an unusual dish made from familiar products! Ruddy cheese batter gently envelops zucchini slices, which become soft and juicy when fried. A great dish for a snack or a snack!

Ingredients

  • Zucchini – 1 pc. (350 g)
  • Natural yogurt – 200 ml
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Flour – 3 tbsp
  • Hard cheese – 50 g
  • Sunflower oil – 60 ml
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare all the ingredients you need.
  2. Rinse young zucchini, trim the edges. Cut the zucchini into thin slices.
  3. Transfer the zucchini slices to a bowl, sprinkle with salt and stir. Leave it on for 10 minutes.
  4. During this time, prepare the batter. To do this, pour natural yogurt without additives into a bowl. Crack the egg and add to the yogurt.
  5. Peel the garlic, pass through a press into a bowl with yogurt and egg. Add a couple of pinches of salt.
  6. Mix everything with a fork until the eggs separate.
  7. Grate the hard cheese on a coarse grater and pour it into the yogurt-egg mixture. Stir.
  8. Now add 2 tablespoon. tablespoons of flour.
  9. And stir again so that no lumps remain. Cheese yogurt batter is ready.
  10. Breaded the zucchini slices in the remaining flour on both sides.
  11. Then dip the zucchini into the yogurt and cheese batter.
  12. Heat the sunflower oil in a skillet. Put the squash in the cheese and yoghurt batter in small batches in the heated oil.
  13. Fry the zucchini in batter over low heat on both sides until the zucchini is soft inside and the yogurt and cheese batter is browned.
  14. Transfer the fried zucchini in batter from the pan to a napkin to absorb the excess oil.
  15. In this way, fry all the zucchini circles.
