Ingredients

  • 2 egg (s)
  • 1 slice / s cheese, (Gouda, Emmentaler, or processed cheese, but then 2-3 s)
  • 1 slice (s) brown bread, or 2 s toast bread
  • ham, raw or cooked, alternatively salami, sausage with tongue or your choice
  • Tomato (s), sliced, raw, optional
  • some diced peppers, raw, optional
  • 6 drops Tabasco, alternatively cayenne pepper or chili powder
  • pepper
  • paprika powder, spicy
  • salt
  • 6 drops Worcester sauce
  • Garlic powder, or onions, chopped or onion rings
  • some butter, or margarine

Instructions

  1. Heat some butter or margarine in as small a coated pan with a flat rim as possible.
  2. If slices of toast are used, toast them first, then cut them diagonally once and put them together to form a square. Brush bread with butter and top with ham, salami or sausage (whatever you have in the fridge). Break open 2 eggs, slide into the pan and leave the yolks whole or stir as you like. Season well shortly before the cooking point, if necessary add onion, tomato slices and / or diced paprika.
  3. Debark the cheese, cut into pieces and spread over the egg until everything is covered. Wait until the cheese melts, then immediately slide onto the bread and serve.
  4. Actually intended as a hearty anti-hangover breakfast, the whole thing, with a slightly milder flavor, results in a quickly prepared, warm dinner.
