Ingredients

  • 4 rolls, (baguette rolls), for ready-to-bake
  • 1 cup crème fraîche or sour cream, with herbs
  • 2 large tomato (s)
  • 2 scoops mozzarella
  • Spice mix, (tomato-mozzarella-spice)
  • Basil, some leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C. Cover a baking tray or the wire rack with baking paper.
  2. Halve the baked rolls lengthways and brush the cut surface generously with the crème fraîche. Wash the tomatoes, remove the stalk and cut the tomatoes thin slices, 3-4 tomato slices are required per half of the roll. Cut the mozzarella into as many slices.
  3. Distribute the tomato slices on the rolls, a bit like a tile. Now sprinkle the slices with tomato and mozzarella seasoning (but salt and pepper will do too). Place the mozzarella slices on top of the tomato slices. Season again as desired and then bake for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Garnish the finished Caprese baguettes with a few basil leaves and serve with the remaining crème fraîche.
  5. Also very tasty cold.
