Instructions

  1. Mix the butter and egg together, add the quark, slowly add the flour, semolina and a pinch of salt and knead everything well. Let the dough rest for about 30 minutes.
  2. Then form a roll out of the dough and cut into finger-thick slices. Flatten this in your hand, add an Ildefonso or other nougat mixture, form a dumpling out of it and let it steep in lightly salted water for about 15 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, toast the crumbs and grated nuts together in a pan. When the dumplings are ready, toss them in the nut crumbs, decorate with a little chocolate sauce and serve warm.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
