  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 110 g suar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 110 g mararine
  • 140 ml milk
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 220 g sultanas (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl. Make a small hollow and add the milk, egg and margarine. Stir everything until smooth, so that there are no more lumps. If you like, you can also add and fold in sultanas, but it also tastes great without them. The dough is a little more liquid than some other scone dough, so I always fill it in muffin cups.
  2. Bake at 180 ° C for about 20 minutes and you`re done!
  3. In my family in Ireland these scones are always served with tea, especially tasty when they are served warm. If you want it to be particularly tasty, you can cut the scones horizontally after baking and fill them with cream or jam of any kind.
  4. The amount of dough makes about 12 scones.
