Instructions

  1. The stone pine cones should be harvested in July. If you cut them through, they should still be soft and colored red.
  2. You take three pieces per liter and cut them into slices, put them in a large pickle jar, add sugar and the grain, then close the lid, put in a warm place for about 5 weeks.
  3. Then filter and fill into bottles. Some also use fruit schnapps instead of grain, brown sugar instead of white or rock candy. The amount of sugar is a matter of taste.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
