Ingredients

  • 500g flour
  • 15 g yeast
  • 300 ml water, lukewarm
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoon oil (olive oil)

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the yeast in the water. Then add the remaining ingredients and knead everything into a firm dough. Let rise under a cloth for an hour.
  2. Shape the dough into a 2 cm thick roll. Roll each centimeter-thin slices into small balls. Cover and let rise for another 10 minutes.
  3. Use the rolling pin to roll out each ball into an oval disc. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes on a greased, floured tray in an oven at 250 ° C until the pita breads puff up.
