Ingredients

  • 20 g yeast
  • 400 g flour
  • 200 g sausae, Portuuese (chouriço, arlic sausae with paprika)
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Crumble the yeast, dissolve in 2 tablespoons of lukewarm water, mix flour and salt, knead well with the yeast and approx. 330 ml of lukewarm water. Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for about 40 minutes. Finely dice the sausage. Knead the dough again on a floured work surface, work in the sausage.
  2. Shape into a round loaf, place on a prepared tray and let rise for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 225 degrees. Bake the bread for about 30 minutes, put a bowl of boiling water in the oven for the first 15 minutes.
  3. Remove the finished bread from the tray and let it cool down on a wire rack.
