Sandwich Croutons with Minced Meat

Fans of whitewash will appreciate this recipe for hot sandwiches with minced meat, because whitewash is a rather time-consuming dish, and making dough for them requires skills and time. But in just half an hour, you can make delicious and very tasty “lazy whites” from a store baguette and minced chicken. And, believe me, the taste of such “lazy whites” is difficult to distinguish from the real ones.

Ingredients

  • Baguette – 1 pc. (250 g)
  • Minced chicken – 400 g
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Milk – 100 ml
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Flour – 1 tablespoon. a spoon with a slide
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 50 ml

Directions

  1. Prepare food. The baguette can be replaced with a sliced ​​loaf. Peel the onions.
  2. Cut the baguette into round slices about 1 cm thick. If the baguette is fresh, use a special bread knife, so the pieces will remain the correct shape and will not get caught.
  3. Finely chop the onion. For the filling, combine the minced chicken, salt, black pepper and finely chopped onion in a deep bowl.
  4. Place 1 tablespoon on a slice of baguette. a spoonful of minced meat. With the back of a spoon, spread the minced meat over the surface of the bread slice.
  5. Cover the filling with a second slice of baguette and press lightly to form a sandwich
  6. So prepare all the lazy whites until you run out of bread or minced meat.
  7. For batter, combine eggs, milk and flour in a deep bowl. Season with salt.
  8. Whisk lightly, making the mixture smooth.
  9. Dip each “lazy whites” in batter on all sides.
  10. Place the minced meat sandwiches in a skillet with heated vegetable oil and cover.
  11. Fry the sandwiches over low heat for about 2-3 minutes on each side. The degree of ruddy of lazy whites can be varied to your liking. If you like croutons that are not too fried, reduce the frying time slightly.
  12. Transfer the ready-made “lazy whites” to a plate and fry the next batch.
  13. Serve hot sandwiches with minced meat immediately. Juicy filling combined with slightly crunchy croutons – well, no worse than real whites!
