Ingredients

  • 400 g pork (pork neck)
  • 2 large onions
  • 5 thick pickle (s)
  • 200 g bacon, smoked
  • 0.25 liter ¼ vegetable broth or beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 green pepper (s), diced
  • 3 medium tomato (s), diced
  • some ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons paprika powder, noble sweet
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder, hot pink
  • salt and pepper
  • Chilli powder

Instructions

  1. Cut the pork neck into large cubes. Quarter the onions. Cut the bacon and cucumber into equally thick slices. Place the meat, cucumber, bacon and onion alternately on the skewers. Season with salt, pepper, paprika and chilli on all sides.
  2. For the sauce, dice the peppers and tomatoes. Dice the remaining onions and a cucumber as well.
  3. Sear the skewers on all sides in a large pan. Take out and lightly sweat the onions. Put the pepper, cucumber and tomato cubes with the tomato paste in the pan. Deglaze with the broth and stir well. Put the skewers in the pan and thicken the sauce with a little ketchup. Put the lid on the pan and simmer gently for 45 minutes. Then season to taste and, if necessary, refine with ketchup.
  4. Fresh bread tastes good as a side dish.
