Snack Rolls with Meat and Avocado

These portioned snack rolls are made from tortilla or small pita bread. Meat, arugula, onion and avocado are wrapped in flat cakes.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Beef tenderloin (filet mignon) – 4 steaks (450 g each)
  • Tortillas or small round pita bread – 8 pcs.
  • Arugula – 4 cups
  • Avocado (cut into slices) – 2 pcs.
  • Garlic (minced) – 1 clove
  • Red onion (cut into strips) – 1 pc.
  • Smoked paprika ground – 2 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil
  • Sour cream – 1/2 cup
  • Horseradish, ready-made sauce – 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Ground paprika for dusting

Directions

  1. Sprinkle the steaks on all sides with smoked paprika and chopped garlic. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat, brush with vegetable oil. Place the steaks in a preheated pan and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove the pan from the stove, let the steaks rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix the sour cream and horseradish. Apply half of this sauce to all four tortillas.
  4. Cut the steaks into strips across the grain and place on the tortilla. Put arugula, avocado and red onion on the meat, roll up the rolls, sprinkle with paprika.
  5. Serve the snack rolls with the leftover sauce
