Spiral Potatoes, Baked with Sausage, on Skewers

With just two ingredients – potatoes and smoked sausage – you can prepare an original and very tasty dish. When baked with sausage, potatoes are impregnated with an appetizing smoked aroma. Such a dinner or lunch will please everyone, without exception!

- Potatoes – 600 g (3 pcs.)
- Smoked sausage with bacon – 200-250 g
Directions
- We prepare all the necessary products. Potatoes must be the same length and shape (for even baking). The shape of the tubers should be elongated. For this dish, smoked sausage with bacon is best suited. You will also need 3 skewers.
- Cut the sausage into slices approximately 0.5 cm thick.
- Then cut the sausage slices in half.
- Wash the potatoes thoroughly. We pierce the potato with a skewer through the length.
- With a knife, cut the potato across in a spiral (the distance between the cuts is 1-1.5 cm).
- The incision should extend completely to the skewer.

- So we put on skewers and cut all the potatoes.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Stretch the potato “spirals” slightly on a skewer. We put sausage semicircles in each cut.
- Then we turn the potato over to the other side and put the sausage into the cuts again. The sausage is inserted on both sides of the potato.
- Cover the baking sheet with parchment. We spread the potatoes on skewers on a baking sheet and put in the oven.
- Spiral potatoes with sausage for about 40 minutes, until tender.
