Ingredients

  • 2 squid (s) (pulpo)
  • 1 large onion (s)
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 125 ml extra virgin olive oil
  • sea salt
  • paprika powder, noble sweet

Instructions

  1. Bring enough salted water to the boil depending on the size of the pulpo. Add the pulpo and after about 20 minutes add the onion and bay leaves. After another 20-45 minutes (depending on size), prick the thickest parts with a toothpick to test the softness. When the fish is cooked and tender, it is cut into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In the last 15-20 minutes of the cooking time, the oil is heated with a lot of chopped garlic, the garlic must not turn brown. Please only use extra virgin olive oil. First season the chopped pulpo with salt, then sprinkle generously with paprika and then the garlic oil on top.
  3. With boiled potatoes and salad.
