Instructions

  1. Peel the turnip and cut into sticks. Put the oil in a freezer bag and add the herbs. Put so many turnip sticks in the bag that you can still easily close them at the top. Now massage the bag until all the pens are evenly covered with oil and herbs. If necessary, repeat the process with the remaining pins.
  2. Spread everything on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, sprinkle with salt and pepper (use plenty of salt in particular - the turnip swallows a lot) and cook at 180 ° C for about 30 minutes until the pens are nicely browned.
  3. In the picture there are a few kohlrabi sticks in between - I do the same with these, and the mixture is particularly delicious!

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
