Instructions

  1. Peel the turnips and cut into strips. Dip the strips in boiling water for 1-2 minutes. Drain and cook again in fresh water for 5 minutes. The beet taste is lost a bit, which is more reminiscent of French fries made from potatoes. Drain, let cool.
  2. Mix the turnip strips well with the salt and oil, this is best done with both hands. Preheat the oven to 240 ° C and let the french fries turn lightly brown and cooked through. This takes about 30-40 minutes. It depends on how cooked the turnip was and how big the strips are.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
