Volovany with Red Caviar

I offer a recipe for those who do not like to mess with the dough themselves. Now the stores sell ready-made yeast-free puff pastry, from which you can very quickly prepare various beautiful dishes. For example, spectacular shuttlecocks with caviar for a festive table.

Ingredients

  • Yeast-free puff pastry – 200 g (2 sheets of 100 g each)
  • Red caviar – 50 g
  • Cream cheese – 50 g
  • Butter – 20 g
  • Fresh chopped dill – 1 tbsp
  • Egg (for greasing the dough) – 1 pc.
  • Flour – for working with dough

    For decoration (optional):

  • Shrimps – 4 pcs.
  • Cucumber – 1 slice

Directions

  1. Arrange the puff pastry on a floured table and cut 16 circles in a round shape.
  2. Densely prick eight circles with a fork and place on a baking sheet covered with parchment.
  3. Make holes in the remaining circles with a round shape of a smaller dia.
  4. Brush whole circles on a baking sheet with a lightly beaten egg around the edge. Place the headbands on top and press lightly. Bake the baskets in a preheated oven at 190 ° C for 12-15 minutes, until lightly browned.
