Ingredients

  • 1 packet yeast
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 500 g flour, (spelled flour, type 630)
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt
  • 150 g walnuts
  • 1 carrot (s)
  • 100 g feta cheese
  • Thyme, fresher

Instructions

  1. Mix 150 ml of lukewarm water with baker`s yeast and honey and let stand covered until bubbles form.
  2. Mix the flour with salt, coarsely chop the walnuts, finely grate the carrot and gradually knead everything into an elastic dough. Dust with flour and cover in a warm place
  3. Let rise for 30 - 45 minutes.
  4. Knead the dough again, knead in the crumbled feta and thyme leaves (as desired). Let rise again for 30 minutes.
  5. Shape the dough into 15 rolls and place them in a circle (wheel shape) on a baking sheet lined with baking paper so that they touch each other lightly. In a preheated oven at 180 ° C
  6. Bake for approx. 40 - 50 minutes.
