Baked Oatmeal with Pear, Nuts and Spices

Oatmeal is included in the healthy diet for its miraculous properties, but who said that eating a tasteless and gray mass is a must? Add nuts, fruits, spices to the flakes, bake everything in the oven, and the boring breakfast will sparkle with new colors! Oatmeal with pears, nuts, and spices cooked in the oven is the tastiest oatmeal I’ve ever eaten.

Ingredients

  • Oatmeal flakes – 80 g
  • Pear – 1 pc.
  • Milk – 250 ml
  • Cream 20% – 100 ml
  • Raisins – 50 g
  • Hazelnuts – 30 g
  • Almonds – 30 g
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Cinnamon – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg – 1/3 teaspoon
  • Fresh basil (or mint) – for serving

Directions

  1. Prepare all the ingredients you need. Instead of a pear, you can use any other fruits and berries, this will diversify your breakfast and make it healthy. Rinse the raisins, dry, and combine in a deep bowl with oatmeal.
  2. Peel the pear from seeds, remove the stalk. You do not need to peel the peel. Cut the pear into small cubes.
  3. Add chopped pears, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the raisin oatmeal.
  4. Chop the nuts. You can use a rolling pin, coffee grinder, blender. I just grated it on a fine grater, chopping the hazelnuts and almonds into small crumbs.
  5. Add the nuts to the bowl with the rest of the ingredients and stir.
  6. Pour the oatmeal with pear, nuts, and spices with milk and leave in the refrigerator for 20-25 minutes to swell the flakes. By the way, such a blank can be done the night before. In the morning, you just need to get it out of the refrigerator and bake it. Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
  7. After 20 minutes, pour the cream into the oatmeal, mix.
  8. Place the oatmeal with pears, nuts, raisins, and spices in a baking dish and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes.
  9. After 25 minutes, add sugar to the oatmeal casserole and bake in the oven under the grill for another 5 minutes.
  10. Cool the oatmeal slightly and place it on bowls.
  11. On top, you can decorate the oatmeal with pear, nuts, raisins, and spices with mint or basil leaves.
  12. A fragrant, moist, warm oatmeal with juicy pear pieces is the best thing that can happen at the beginning of the day!
