Ingredients

  • 500 g beef fillet (s)
  • 100 ml soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil, toasted
  • 1 piece (s) ginger, (the size a thumb)
  • 2 cloves garlic, (preferably fresh)
  • 2 piece (s) chilli pepper (s), (red, small)
  • 2 teaspoons heaped sesame seeds
  • 3 tablespoon oil for the wok
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 spring onion (s)

Instructions

  1. Peel and grate the ginger finely. Mash and chop the garlic. Cut the chillies and spring onions into fine rings. Cut the beef fillet into thin slices.
  2. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, and sugar until the sugar dissolves. Add the ginger, garlic, chillies, spring onions, and sesame seeds.
  3. Add the beef to the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Drain the marinade before cooking.
  4. Heat the oil in a wok over high heat. Working in portions, stir-fry the beef for 5 minutes per batch.
