Ingredients

  • 500 g beef fillet (s)
  • 100 ml soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil, toasted
  • 1 piece (s) ginger, (the size a thumb)
  • 2 cloves garlic, (preferably fresh)
  • 2 piece (s) chilli pepper (s), (red, small)
  • 2 teaspoons heaped sesame seeds
  • 3 tablespoon oil for the wok
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 spring onion (s)

Instructions

  1. Peel the ginger and grate finely. Mash and chop the garlic. Cut the chillies and spring onions into fine rings. Cut the meat into thin slices.
  2. Mix the soy sauce, sesame oil and sugar (sugar must dissolve), add chillies, garlic, spring onions, ginger and sesame seeds.
  3. Put the meat in this marinade and let it marinate for at least 2-3 hours. Drain the marinade.
  4. Let the oil heat up in portions in a hot wok, stir the meat in portions over high heat for about 5 minutes. This can be done very well with a gas burner and wok at the table. In Asia shops there are also special pans to go with it (but don`t have to) ..
  5. This goes well with basmati rice, wakame salad or, originally Korean, kim chi.
