Ingredients

  • 250 g cheese, rated, e.. Emmentaler or Gouda
  • 150 g natural yourt
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ salt
  • 5 tablespoon flour, heaped
  • breadcrumbs
  • Fat, or oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix the grated cheese, yogurt, eggs, and salt in a bowl until well combined
  2. Add the flour and stir until the mixture forms a thick, uniform paste
  3. Spread plenty of breadcrumbs on a plate
  4. Shape the cheese mixture into flat, thin patties one at a time
  5. Place each patty on the breadcrumbs and press gently so the crumbs adhere to the bottom
  6. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top of each patty and press gently to coat the upper side
  7. Heat fat or oil in a pan over medium-high heat until shimmering
  8. Using a spatula, carefully slide the breaded schnitzel into the hot fat one at a time
  9. Fry for 3-5 minutes until the bottom is golden brown
  10. Using a spatula, carefully flip the schnitzel and fry the other side for 3-5 minutes until golden brown
