  • 6 slices cooked ham
  • 6 slices Gouda cheese
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 6 teaspoons flour
  • 3 tablespoon breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Set up a breading line with three deep plates: Put the flour in the first plate, put the egg in the second plate and whisk with a fork and put the breadcrumbs in the third plate.
  2. Heat a coated pan with a little vegetable oil on medium level (level 5 to 6 of 9).
  3. Place a slice of cheese on each half of the cooked ham and fold the other half of the ham over the cheese. The cheese should completely disappear into the ham pocket.
  4. Now turn the filled ham in the flour on both sides first in the breading line, then dip it in the egg, let it drain a little and finally turn it in the breadcrumbs.
  5. Fry the breaded ham and cheese schnitzel in the pan on both sides for approx. 2 to 3 minutes each until golden brown.
