Chicken Heart Kebab Marinated in Soy Sauce and Orange Juice (in the Oven)

If you are very fond of kebabs, but there is no way to get out into nature or to the barbecue, you can cook chicken hearts shashlik marinated with soy sauce and orange juice in the oven. A great option to try something new in the “barbecue” style.

Servings: 5

Ingredients

  • Chicken hearts – 750 g
  • Soy sauce – 3 tbsp
  • Tomato paste – 1.5 teaspoon
  • Orange – 1 pc. (250 g)
  • Garlic – 2-3 cloves
  • Honey – 1 teaspoon (20 g)
  • Adjika (dry) – 0.5 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Put the wooden skewers in cold water for 30-40 minutes so that they do not burn during cooking.
  2. Cut off fat and tubes from chicken hearts, wash and dry.
  3. Place the tomato paste and honey in a separate bowl.
  4. Add dry adjika to a bowl and mix everything.
  5. Peel and grate the garlic and add to a bowl, stir.
  6. Wash the orange thoroughly, cut in half and your juice. We need 75 ml.
  7. Pour the juice into a bowl with honey, tomato paste and garlic, stir.
  8. Pour the soy sauce into the marinade bowl and stir.
  9. Pour the marinade over the prepared hearts and leave to marinate for 20 minutes. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.
  10. String the hearts on pre-soaked wooden skewers, 5-6 pieces each, if desired.
  11. Pour 2 tablespoons of water into the bottom of a baking dish and place baking paper on top of it. Place the kebabs on the sides of the mould and place in the hot oven.
    Cook the skewers for 25 minutes.
  12. Spread ready-made kebabs on a dish. Serve with baked potatoes, garnish with cherry tomatoes, olives, olives and herbs. Boil the marinade and serve as a sauce.
