Ingredients

  • 200 g yourt, preferably 10% fat
  • 0.5 ½ cucumber (s)
  • 1 tablespoon peppermint, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon coriander greens, finely chopped OR:
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ coriander paste
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ cumin
  • salt
  • Pepper, black, freshly ground

Instructions

  1. Peel and halve the cucumber, remove the seeds and cut into very fine strips.
  2. Finely grind or grind the cumin seeds.
  3. Mix the yogurt with the cucumber strips, peppermint, coriander leaves or paste. Add cumin and season with salt and pepper. Let it steep in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  4. This raita tastes wonderful with spicy Indian curries, naan, chapati and / or dhal.
